Why I chose naturopathic medicine

I chose naturopathic medicine because it lets me be proactive about my health. I love how it helps my health — and my life — thrive. It aims to help the body function the way it was designed to — by gently transforming daily decisions. I especially love how it's built my own health literacy, so I make informed decisions instead of guessing

My approach to patient care

I go through each of their health systems in my comprehensive health interview — digestion, sleep, metabolism, mental health and nervous system regulation, reproduction, immune health, infection and biotoxin exposure. That helps me understand how the body functions as a whole, and which biochemical pathways may need more nutrient support.

What I wish people knew

That they should have both a naturopath and a family doctor — two complementary approaches to the same body. The relationship built over time becomes a real foundation when a bigger concern comes up
