I was drawn to naturopathic medicine through the influence of my mother, a nurse, and a desire to address gaps I recognized within conventional healthcare. I value more empathetic approaches to mental health and believe in care that recognizes the individual within the context of their environment, experiences, and overall well-being.
My approach to patient care begins with recognizing and validating each person’s individual needs. From there, I help patients identify practical, sustainable practices that support and strengthen their health rather than simply suppressing symptoms. Clear, achievable guidelines and an appropriate timeline for care are essential to help patients understand the process, set realistic expectations, and recognize meaningful progress along the way.
I would like people to understand that naturopathic medicine is as much an art as it is a science. We draw on scientific evidence while thoughtfully crafting individualized approaches to care that are practical, sustainable, and complementary to more advanced medical treatments when needed. The goal is not to replace or avoid conventional medical care, but to work alongside it, supporting health, resilience, and greater freedom in making informed choices about one’s health.
