Why I chose naturopathic medicine

While conventional medicine excels at emergency care, I saw firsthand how often it falls short for chronic health conditions. That reality became deeply personal during my first year of naturopathic medical school when I developed a condition and was told I needed surgery. By applying targeted naturopathic therapies, I successfully reversed it without surgical intervention. Experiencing the body’s innate capacity to heal solidified my purpose. Today, I use that experience to help patients who feel stuck with 'normal' labs while still feeling unwell, connecting the dots of their health history to address the root cause.

My approach to patient care

My approach begins with listening deeply to your story through an in-depth history-taking, paired with a comprehensive functional review of your lab tests to spot subtle imbalances before they become larger problems. From there, I craft a science-backed plan tailored to your actual daily life. I act as your personal health advocate and guide, providing ongoing support so you feel fully empowered and confident every step of the way.

What I wish people knew

Many people don't realize the depth of training behind naturopathic medicine. Before entering practice, Naturopathic Doctors complete rigorous pre-medical science education, graduate from an accredited four-year naturopathic medical program, and pass comprehensive standardized board exams. While NDs are distinct from Medical Doctors—and do not diagnose or treat disease in regions where the profession remains unregulated—our extensive clinical background means we speak both languages. We understand physiology, pharmacology, and natural therapeutics deeply, allowing us to safely bridge the gap between conventional care and natural health strategies.
